racing interior

im thinking about making my new civic hatchback into a straigh up drag racing car. im gonna put in a racing seat from another kit, scratchbuilt roll cage and im also thinking about scratchbuilding a turbo and plumbing it. if i take away the back seats, should i take out the centor console? id like to, but would that be somewhat realistic?, considering the rest of the interior will be gone.?
