Lowering Springs

Hey guys, what do you need to lower a 2002 Eclipse besides the springs? Is that all I need? Also, which would look better....a 1.3" drop or 1.8" drop? Thanks guys!

Shocks/Struts. I would suggest either Tein Super Street 16 way adjustable or KYB AGX's. And get a camber kit too. spring wise, get either Eibach Pro kit springs or ground control coil over springs.

The Teins are more adjustable than the 4 way KYB AGX's. But you can buy AGX's for ~3-400 hundred whereas the Tein's cost $1200.

You can get Tein springs too, which are very very good. They lower the car 1.7 in the front and 1.5 in the rear

Coilovers are a waste, unless you get a true coilover system, like the JIC's.

This is my car a while ago, a few days after I installed the Tein springs. The drop is quite nice.

After lowering does your ride suck? or is it about the same?

No, my ride is great, but i also have kyb agx shocks/struts so it is stiffer than stock. If you are not getting new shocks, you are risking blowing out the stock suspension.

After lowing my ride, every bump in the road is felt more and watch out when parking as your bumper might hit the curbs and going up or down slopes and train tracks kill too.
It's the price you pay for handling and looks.

i used tein spring in my eclipse 2003 use 19 inch rim but still high,still 3 finger gap and not really nice,i want to change
