Failed rebuilt prelude axles.

Hi, I'm about to file small claims against a CV rebuilder for failed inboard CV axle that failed while making a right hand turn from a dead stop. Honestly. Engine mounts are good. My 93 lude lives no more as tranney has a 3 inch hole...

Question - Has anyone had similar bad experience with rebuilt axles. I understand the rebuilt axle industry is unregulated. SAE has tried to establish regulations, but its on hold due to the magnitude of the business and major disagreements between SAE and the grinders. The issue is that the CV axle rebuilder does not know how many times an axle an cap have been ground and as far as I can tell, does not check for hair cracks etc.... My research says that to maintain tollerances, 1 grinding is it, 0.049 to .100, perhaps two grindings on low HP application.

Any other horror stories...?
