It's been a while since I posted. After over a year of planning and 3 months in the shop, my 240sx is finally nearing completion. All the engine work is basically done for now. I wised up and instead of getting a nice kit right away, I'm going to spend some extra on suspension/brakes.
pictures and info (http://cardomain.com/id/slixness)
Estimated 450-475 hp @ wheels. With new injectors, I'll be at around 550hp. With proper electronic upgrades and new chip/ecu..625+hp :iceslolan
If anyone's interested in it, drop me a message. I don't need to get rid of it, but if I can get a decent offer, I'll consider it. (will also trade in for cash+streetbike)

Yea, I figured that would be the first comment. I wouldn't expect anything near that for it. Realistically, It's worth around 18-22k depending on the buyer.

How is the car legal? Aren't all jspec engines illegal? Just wondering...

Still Not Worth Close To 27k, I Could Build One For Less Than Half That. The Value Of A Swapped Car And Installed Parts Go Down Significantly.... So Don't Hold Your Breath Unless You Get An Idiot At Seeing Anything Close To 20k.

Just because some jackass doing the smog didnt realize what he was looking at doesnt mean it's legal. The RB series motor were never cleared for use on America's roads. Don't mistake oversight for legality.
Why compare a built & tuned motor to a plain stock motor, that doesn't really seem fair??? You also dont need to convert to single turbo, McKinney's mounts allow you to keep the twins.
The R32 NEVER had the RB25DET, it only had the RB25DE, no turbo. The early R33 was series 1 and the 96 and up R33 was series 2.
Just wanted to let you know that there is a difference between the RB25 and the RB26..Forged internals, individual throttle bodies....The 280 is the voluntary hirsepower limit imposed by the Japanese automakers. The motor really puts out more than that.
Sorry, just want you to pass on GOOD information...
Nice car besides, have fun with it!

if i am correct, then you would be the jon powell that did a r32/fastback transplant to someones s13, right? nice work.
i hate to question your knowledge with the skylines, but i have a book called Nissan Skyline GTR 1989 - 2002 - Limited Edition Extra.
this book contains 28 articles that were published from 1989 to 2002 in magazines found ALL OVER the world. and about 3 of the earlier ones tell the reader that the R32 came in the GTS model with the RB20DETT and the GTR model with the RB26DETT with twin ceramic garett turbo chargers. these articles were NOT written recently, they are reprints of 11 year old articles at the time of TESTING the car. so i would take this info over anyone's word....especially seeing as its printed in plain text in more than 4 of the articles that relates to the R32 and R32 only.

the question is ... why after all that time and work, do you want to sell it? it seems like everyone finishes the rb25 swap and then sells it, is there a reason for that?
<- confused.

The R32 came with a myriad of engines, as far as I know Nissan NEVER amde a twin turbo RB20, but I may be mistaken...The R32 had the RB25DE as an option, but never the turboed version of the RB25. The RB25DET (turboed version) did not come into existence until 93 in the R33 GTS-T or the GTS25-T. I guess you knew that though...Trying to discredit me by misquoting some book isnt going to get you anywhere, but yes I am the guy who put the R32 GTS-T on an S13 hatchback.

He probably wont believe you either, but I bow down to the knowledge of musicsurfman, he knows way more than me on the tech aspects of the Skylines. I just know how to wrench on them.

Ohh Well..... Some People Just Hate To Be Wrong, When I'm Worng I Learn From It; Others Get Offended. Nah I'm Sure You Know As Much As Me I Just Dwell In Other Areas, And You Car Was Amazing Compared To Mine, Your Attention To Detail Was Awesome.
