ROFL. After the page loaded, it made me watch an in-frame ad for the Nissan Titan. Talk about product placement!! LOL!

I hope to God this isn't a fullsize, they aren't even planning to put a V8 in it. Good luck trying to sell a weak ass truck like that. However if its the size of a S-10 or Dakota......well then....I'll have to put those in their place.

Well, if it's the size of an S-10, the 240HP/242TQ Pilot engine should propel it nicely...and it should retain the trademark Honda lightness...it'll be a Unibody instead of a body-on-frame.

Yeah well by 2005 mine will be supercharged, and with the 4.10 gears going in it soon, thats an asskicking.........and a lot of tire burning.

to put in tow mode do you need to double clutch or regular granny shifting is good enough?

My god, I've run through so many emotions at once I don't know which to say... First I felt vindicated because I KNEW Honda was going to come out with a truck before too long, it's their one weakness in the auto markets that Nissan and Toyota had covered. Then I thought it was hilarious when I thought of a Honda truck competing with any of the trucks of the big three. Ludicrous. Then when I even heard the word 'unibody' mentioned I wanted to laugh even harder since I wouldn't trust a truck like that to haul cardboard with. After that, it was anger at seeing that 'SUT' concept DeVil posted. Just this morning I was thinking about how the Japanese have copied so many car designs and wouldn't you know it? Another copy shows up right here in the forums. Oh well, maybe this will give the big three even more incentive to give us the best of the best in trucks. Although they already are the best...

omg thats soo retarded to use V-tec on such a vehicle. the goal for these things are suppose make as much power as low in the rev range as possible. having v-tec defeats that whole purpose. that is soo dumb plus they never even made a v8 before. so its sooo weird.

uh uh....just came up with an ideea....this truck wou'lve been perfect for the F&F....instead of those civics they could have used those trucks so after the hijack they could load the stolen stuff in them

maybe they can use them in 3F3F:grinno:

btw KrNxRaCer00 since you own a real type R....how much crap do you get for it when people see your badge....unfortunatelly for you because of those kids the type r has become the number one sticker...do people actually belive you have a typer R or do they just asume its just another ls with the type r badge?

Hey now!!!! be fair, I'm sure the reason for 'Tezza and Type R stickers will at least shift from 20 more bhp to "auw lots more pulling power b0e"

Or maybe we'll see a change, big roof mounted driving lights, winches and snorkels will be the new trend, all of which we'll get a good view of while they are being towed out of the mud

well a real type R is pretty easy to tell. heres what to look for

1: no side moldings
2: five lug wheels
3: lower front chin spoiler
4: red stitched seats ( not so obvious )
5: orange interior lighting ( not so obvious )

I wonder how much money Honda is going to have to bribe the magazines with to say, "This truck's a keeper!" when they test it against the big 3 and the Tundra. I can't wait to see someone trying to haul a 5th wheel trailer with one.

actually...the type r gets less looks than my gsr did. to most of the ppl driving, it jus looks like a stock integra w/ a big wing and stickers (no badges...so they'd have to be REALLY desperate and actually peel off the stickers.)

nobody really tries to race me, and the 1st thing ppl will ask if they're checking it out is "is it a real type r?"

tatII, u forgot the wing and exhaust for exterior, and carbon fiber trim, shift knob/boot for the interior

yes i know the type R has a big exhuast stock ( for a stock exhuast ) but you can't really judge a honda by that since most of them have aftermarket exhuast. i was goin to mention it, but its not a good way to indicate if its a type R or not. same iwth the wing. any integ to buy a aftermarket version. so you have to judge by the things that can't be fakes easily such as the 5 lugs, and no side moldings. and yes the carbon fiber textured vents. very very cool.

not all "vtec" kicks in at high rpm's as for ivtec it works through the powerband, and doesent the new f150 have valve timing?

They won't be hauling anything though. They would bend that unibody so far out of shape the truck would be driving sideways, not mention they would have no power until the damn thing hit 6000RPM. You can always add the underbody light kits, a wing, bodykit, fart can, and some really big wheels then you will have all the power in the world.

I can see it now, and jacked up Ford F-150 with dual Flowmasters Vs. Honda Truck lower with a body kit and a fart can.

the i vtec thing is extremely new, but i have never seen a honda engine just use a variable intake or exhuast cam timing motor. without the 2 stage cams. if you can show me a honda engine where there is no 2 step process, then i'll say that its not goin to do that on the truck.
