this is my 1964 Pontiac GTO I got for christmas. It's painted in Testors Transparent Blue. It's a little watery and runny but I got a pretty good and shinny coat with it.

Its only in the interior so you can see the wires. They were a pain to put on so there's only 4.

I know you can't see them too well but these are my 2 choices for rims.

you really need a base coat under the transparent paint bro, you can totally see the plastic. I can see its shinin like a mother though, woulda been better with a gold or silver flake under it.

It doesn't even look like you used primer. Did you?

Ya I did. It's not on that can though. I didn't get a good coat though. I dislike Testors.

A: The engine is a 389ci from the Pontiac "Super Duty" family.
B: Not only does it look like there's no primer or basecoat beneath the paint, but you picked up some horrific runs. The paint has puddled on the raised character lines of the body and slid off the curves. It looks very slapdash and very rushed.
And I know it was rushed because the only way you pick up runs that bad is by laying down all the paint at once instead of building up color in fine mist coats. It doesn't matter what brand paint you use, because I know modelers who've got incredible finished using Krylon. It's when you rush that mistakes like that paintjob happen.
Sorry, but you need to strip the body and start over again.

I not only use krylon, I use cheap paints, stuff that costs like 94cents a can, and I mix and match paints, clear coats, I could use tamiya primer, 94cent color, and dupli-color clear coat and get a great finish, it's all in the way you spray.
