My buddy has a "99 WRX, Its a good race it all comes down to how well you drive your car. Its also a lot of fun to race the V6 stang and camaro. Just so you no dont mess with the camaro Z28, or any of the firebirds/TA. It wont be pretty, trust me I've been that stupid.

WRX's can either be beat real bad, or they beat you real bad. It all depends on the driver. With AWD, the driver makes more of a difference than it does with FWD or RWD.
Some say racing AWD cars is an aquired skill high above all others...ha ha ha.

Your buddy either doesn't have a WRX or it isn't a '99. WRX didn't come to the states until 2002. The closest we had in '99 to a Subaru rally car was the 2.5RS.

I know someone who had the WRX before 2002(i'm not going to claim he was my buddy). It is possible to import you know? How do you think people get their hands on skylines and honda integras?
I know some people do bullshit on this forum, so take everything with a pinch of salt, but sometimes, it might be true.

I might be wrong on the year it is, Its from what ever year they first came over here. Be it "00 or "01 I dont know for sure. I allways called it the wrong year and got made fun of. Its all good though I never claimed to be smart.

Well I am still unclear on what car we are talking about here...the post states it is an Eclipse GS-T, but I am going to assume he means GTS since this is the 2000+ forum? Anyway, the Lancer OZ rally is just a jazzed up regular lancer with some different trim, so the GTS would kill that. A GTS would not beat any Evo Lancer or a wrx stock, and I agree on the new accord issue (depends on the model). I say the stock RSX hangs on with the GTS but loses, and the type S takes it.

Actually, if we are talking about drag racing here, the RSX Type-S will lose to an Eclipse GTS and GT. They are very very close in performance, but the high torque of our V6 engines pull out on the Type-S.
