have purchased the Tuscani GT lettering and Tuscani Badges but have not received them yet... new pics will go up when I install... also, why "but don't do that?" The 4cyl is the Tuscani GT.... the 6cyl is the GTS.... :eek7:

btw... if you really like the wheels are you interested in trading? I wanted the standard hyundai alloy's but the dealership wouldn't take the Eagle Alloys off the car when I bought it.... if you've got the stock rims I'd be more than happy to arrange something. :smile:

In Korea the Tuscani is referred to in two categories... Tuscani GT (4cyl) and Tuscani GTS (6cyl) just as the Toyota Celica that you were referring to... on the GT the lettering reads "Tuscani" on the upper left portion of the trunk and "GT" on the upper right portion of the trunk.... on the GTS the lettering reads "Tuscani" on the upper left portion of the trunk and "Elisa 2.7" on the upper right portion of the trunk... as for what hyundai would do... are you really going to question a KOREAN company that puts a JAPANESE word as the name for their car for release in the UNITED STATES? Lets face it... in the name of marketing companies do some really off the wall shit... I'm not here to question thier motives... I just want to restore the original beauty of my Tiburon/Tuscani. My information comes from a foreign exchange student in my little brothers class from Korea who happens to own an "Elisa 2.7" back home. The guys english isn't great but our conversation about this has been quite clear.

Agreed... however, at 52watts/channel the X-plode head unit is pretty decent... doesn't skip unless the cd is cracked (literally) and the EQ7 tech on it is great.

I fully intend on doing the full tuscani gt changeover.... just because I'm not done doesn't mean I'm in the wrong.... besides that, you're ORIGINAL argument was that there was no such thing as a Tuscani GT or GTS.... well just in case you're still not convinced I did a little more research for you....

Oh, here's the information on the korean version of hyundai.com.... Just go to

picture of the Tuscani. If you are in a hurry go ahead and skip the flash
presentation and go to the next page... on this page you'll see a menu bar (in
korean).... click on the second link up from the "e-catalog" button (your status
bar will say

now, if you look REAL close you'll see on the right hand side of the Tuscani
picture a group of links with all the different body styles of the Tuscani as
released in Korea... the second to last one says, in plain ol' English, "2.0
GT".... Hopefully that's enough proof for you... as for the remainder of the mods on my car to complete the Tuscani changeover, it's going to be a few months.... see, I've actually done my research and come to find out the entire changeover is going to cost me about $2,000.... I don't have all that at the moment....

if the 4 cyl is the GT how come i see V6's saying GT V6 on their car? it says GT V6 on stock V6's. and i don't kno what u talking about the GTS in korea? i just went to Korea in October and looked for some tuscanis. I didn't see a single GTS. i got a friend who got a tuscani also. he got a V6 and he got a GT badge on it. idk whether ur right or i'm right. but i'm pretti sure that there is no GTS in korea.

o and u say the GTS is the 6 cyl. i don't remember any of the dealers telling me anythinhg about a 2.0 6 cyl. the GTS is 2.0 L.
maybe i'm wrong. but i actually WENT to a dealer in korea and had a little chit chat.
