hey i jus bought my first honda last saturday and iwould jus like to comment that this iz an amazing car. haha i had to learn how to drive stick but its so much more fun than my mustang (automatic). the carz in pretty decent condition wit 145k on it. i have a question, when i rev up the rpmz like up to bout 4 or 5 thousand i hear a scratching/clinking sound when they drop. im sorry i cant really be more descriptive, i may be able to record it if i can. does anyone kno wat the problem may be?? anywayz i jus wanted to say how much i love this car thx for ur help

Possibly the valves are out of adjustment or the oil is dirty or low. Honda 4 cylinder should have the valves adjusted about 30K. If the timing belt & water pump have not been changed recently, make that a priority to get that done. Timing belt can be visually inspected when a valve adjustment is done.
