87 carbed crx

cannot get the battery to charge. changed alternators,made sure engine has good ground ,traced all wires no breaks in wiring, anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong....

oh yea has ecu.

how old is the battery? what did u replace the alternater with, a new one or one from the wrekers?

new battery,5 alternators from cars,one from autoparts store...

ya got me then, unless its not wired properly (which dosnt seem to be the case)

check all grounds!!

are you sure the plug is inserted really good (maybe try some contact cleaner)

it's prob your batt terminals, mine went bad or should i say the wires were toasted. i had to clean them with contact cleaner and a wire brush and then installed new terms

have you checked the fuse under the dash for the alternater? mine keeps burning and stops charging.

hey that worked...didnt even know there was a fuse.. but it was blown, replaced it and it works fine, charges great..
