I have a 96 Cavy. I haven't done much performance wise.
All my work so far has been lighting and system. I'm done with all of that now. Now I want to look into some performance parts. Here are some things I was looking at but I was kinda wondering what you guys think or if ya know where I can get some of this stuff?

Racing Chip- Dunno if racing chip is correct but something along those lines? I saw some stuff on ebay for like $20 but I'm guessing those don't work like they say.

Turbo or Super- My Cavy has the 2.2L engine. It doesn't really go like I would like. I'm thinking one of these would definately help. Any suggestions?

Intake- I've looked at a few different cold air intakes. Do these really help alone? Because a lot of them claim to add like 10-15hp and I've heard otherwise.

Paint- My paint is in perfect condition. Except its green. And I want to paint it black. My dad's buddy said he'll paint it if I get him the stuff. What stuff would I need and how much? Base, Primer, kinda lost?

Thanks for any help/suggestions/comments.

do a 2.2l Ecotec swap and get a turbo.

www.cavalierconnections.com has turbo stuff for your engine. www.exploitedracing.com also does. intake will get you approx 4-5 hp. you could get exhaust done which will get you about 10-15 hp. i wouldn't really recommend a supercharger for your car b/c for that you need power to make power. hope this helps a little.

as for ebay stuff. most of the time what you pay for is what you get. especially for the "racing chips" for only $10-20. my buddy got one for $7 and what came in the mail was a resistor just like the ones you can get at radio shack. he was not willing to let $7 mess up his engine. i wouldn't do that either, imo.
