Spark problems!

What can cause a car to not get spark?
My husband has changed the distributor coil and control module, he checked the fuses, and the car will not start.

My cars ECM is reporting a problem with the (MAT sensor) or manifold air temperature sensor. Could this cause the car to get no spark?

well, there is a difference between getting NO spark, and thecar not starting.
you could be getting a weak spark, or the spark could be mistimed.
check the timing, and make sure it is not advanced too far.
also, if the distributor itself (you said he replaced coil and controller) is damaged, that would cause it.
check the points and the cam gear.
