ok heres the story...i was changing the oil in my sis' maxima yesterday when the guy im sort of talking to stopped by. he walks up and asks what the hell i was doing. :sly: well gee...im under a car with a box of oil next to me and a new oil filter in hand..im waxing the car..duh. anyways, he said that chicks werent supposed to work on cars. :wtf: he said that it was a guys job and a major turn off to see me working on a car. needless to say, i ended whatever it was we had going. but i dont get it??? what is so wrong with a car chick? he's not the first guy to do something like this either. :wtf:

He's a moron, plain and simple. Id love to meet a woman who loves cars and knew how to work on them. There's nothing wrong with having knowledge about cars, those guys who think it's a turn off are just intimidated by the fact that you may know how to do things that they dont, or that you can do something just as capably as them. I think the reason for this happening is the fact that men like to be considered the ones who work on the cars and do all the stuff therein and when they see a woman doing it, it makes them feel awkward. Ah well, they're just pussies; dont let them get to you, do what you like and if a guy cant accept it, you dont need him.

As far as I know that's a major turn ON. :)

BTW I like the quote in your sig!

It shows guys that you can do something just as well, if not better, than they can do it. Ever since cars have been invented, guys have considered them 'their territory'. Usually, chicks dont like getting their hands dirty with oil and crud and shit like that, but guys do. Thats why we have always been the ones working on cars. I dont really have a very good explanation for it, I know. I dont know why guys do this and what not, we're just weird like that sometimes.

btw, like I said in your "new chickie here" thread, I wish there were more car chicks in my area, because I like car chicks. Im not too crazy about these prissy, preppy, rich little bitches that we have here...and trust me, thats the only kind of girl that is in my school.

yeah, he's probably just pissed that he still pays the guy at mobil to change his oil and you can do it yourself.

what year's your sisters maxima?

My wife is a car chick. At least she was when I married her. Now she just drives them(very fast). She has a convertable Trans Am. I do the oil changes now or we just take them up to a quickee lube and pay the few bucks. There is nothing wrong with car chicks. I think they're great.

Personally, the only thing I don't like about the girl I'm trying to go out with right now is that she knows next to nothing about cars. I'd love to get her outside working on the car with me, and whenever she gets her own, I'd love to work on it with her. Cars and being a firefighter consume most of my time. She won't have anything to do with the second, but she's trying to learn about the car aspect of my life, and I love her for that. There's not a damn thing wrong with car girls. It's actually something more to have in common, even if she is better at it.

Any guy that has a problem with girls that work on cars has a seriously issue with his own masculinity.
Small penis syndrome comes to mind.....

Yo, I would do anything to have a car chick, this is why: they know stuff about cars and you probably know stuff about cars too, so thats a thing you have in common, and plus there is nothing better than to see a chick working on a car (plus if in a "nice" suit) even better and a hella of a turn ON! too :naughty: :naughty: :naughty: :grinno: :grinno: :grinno:

The next one is going to be a car chick... doesn't even have to be a hardcore car chick, but yeesh.

There is a place near here where everyone meets up on Sat night for racing/just hanging out. There are some really hot Japanese girls with some nice (r34GTR etc.) cars. But they can dirve too. That is what I like to see: a chick shows up to the races, dressed nice but with dirt under her fingernails from tweaking her own engine.....

I agree.

I also agree with Jimmy.

I also agree with anyone else who said it's a turn on. If I could find a nice girl that's as nuts about cars as I am and has some real knowledge, I'd marry her!

I'm after an Aviation Chick myself.

Ahhhh, to be able to discuss the merits of The Real Mustang versus the ME109.

Mind you, my flying instructer was pretty hot!

I like the Mustang myself....but my favorite plane (from WWII) would have to be the B-26.

Mmm... I prefer the Fw-190, or the rare Do-335 "Pfeil". The 335 had a puller engine in front and a pusher in back, spinning in opposite directions to cancel each others torque out. It would have also been the fastst prop plane of the war if had gone into production.

Yea that was a very ingenius plane. Kind of ugly though, but then again those planes werent built to be pretty, just to be effective.

in my opinion, i find it to be a turn on if a girl knows about cars better than i do. especially if she knows how to drive better than me. or fix up cars. i wish my gf was that type into cars too.

Now the MkIX Spitfire on the other hand :D

Hey zebrathree, did anybody in your family fly in WWII by chance?

No, no pilots. I few ground pounders and an artillery guy, but no pilots to my knowledge.

Why do you ask?

My grandpa flew a B-26 Martin Marauder during Opertion Torch in North Africa for the 319th Meduim Bombardment group. I was just curious to know if you had any pilots in your family I guess.

Thats pretty cool. He probably flew CAS for my Great Granddad and Great Uncle then, they were both there with the NZEF.

chicago_guy
01-05-2004, 04:44 PM
I doubt he did. His plane was shot down on his fourth mission on November 11, 1942. His previous missions were to destroy German air fields, so I dont think there were any infantryman in the area. But thats cool to know that your great grandpa and great uncle were part of that action. Had the allied forces failed to push back Rommels troops, the allies wouldnt have won the war.

I've never dated a car chick so I can't say for sure, but so far I would see it as a turn. However, I did date this girl once that was into football. I thought it was cool at first, but then it got really annoying because she knew as much as me and followed as closely. Eventually I broke it of with her. There were many other reasons it didn't work, but that part about football was a small reason. Kinda of like dating your best friend, and you have too much in common. My wife and I are almost opposite one another. So it works out better that we have differing interests.

My idea of dressing nice is clean coveralls (or as japanese call them tsunagi) :iceslolan

The way the japanese dress (at least the car oriented ones) is considerably different than the rest of the world. It is cool to wear the coveralls you wore to work out to the races. We average at least 5 or 6 chicks with cars per night, but they have friends too :naughty:

japanese car chicks are HOT... but if she has an r34 gtr and she races... i dont kno... kinda intimidating that your gf can kick ur ass at racing lol

You have to be really careful over here who you challange. There are drift circuts and street races and you always see chicks there. There was a chick with a full tuned out FD who entered the D-1 grand prix this year. If you ever get your hands on an Option magaizine, you will see they always dedicate at least one page to female driver/tuners. I sold an EVO II to a chick on base who drives the hell out of it!

Well, from what i no, its because it makes the guy feel like an idiot,

Back in the day, cars where for men NOT women, therefore men were expected to no about cars and the women new nothing. nowadays, its actually pretty rare to find a guy that nows whats actually going on under the hood, so when a dude sees a female working on a car, he feels jealous because a male is nomaly (yes i am being steryotipical) supposed to no about cars, not the women, so when the women is doing the car work it makes him feel like an idiot. plain and simple.

All the guys that I no, that actually no whats going on under the hood would love to have a girl that could share the same passion, its the guys that have never even checked their own oil or filled up washer fluid that think girls shouldnt be working on cars.

I Love teaching my G/F about cars, and she likes to hear what i have to say.

So plain and simple, its jealousy, because the guy "should" no more about cars then the female should, and when the male doesnt, its gets him pissed off. just my :2cents:

Personally i would rather have a female work on my car mainly because the females tend to be more delicate at what they do, and i no being a part time mechanic myself, that when the rench doesnt work, get the hammer, and if that doesnt work, ya need a bigger hammer!

Yeah, I agree with the delicate touch. My friend Megan showed us guys up recently, we were too heavy handed trying to get her bf's airbox cover to stay on (didnt fit well with the filter he bought) and she walked in, nice and gentle, *snap* done. lol
