Not American?

i dont really know that much about mclarens cuz i always thought that they were american and i think that american cars are supposed to muscle, not exotic.

now, before you get mad at me for thinking this, here is my reason i thought the mclaren was an american company. in road & track, they call it the ameritech mclaren f1. and since ameritech has ameri in it i thought it meant that it was from america. if u wanna see for your self, get a r&t close to the end in the road test summary section they have it called that.

i found out a lil bit ago that the mclaren is actually from england. is that really true? thanx.

Ameritech is the company that compliance Mclarens for the Amercian Market convert them into Amercian Road Regulation. (i could be wrong, and if i am, may everyone else correct me). which i think they are the only one has the lisence to do so.

there is one in Japan, two or three in Europe, Ameritech in USA and one in Australia (once again, correct me if i am wrong)
