where do i start?

a while ago i bought an86 crx si, totaled in the front end, and it is just about driveable now. i have never even driven the car before and i already want to start doing mods. i have no experience with imports and have no idea where to start. what is the best stuff to do on a low budget, and where can i find it?

I woudl get exhaust first. Then swap in a d16a1 from a 86-89 Integra. Then upgrade to header cold air intake and lightened flywheel.

dan, just out of curosity how easy is it to swap one of thioe d16a1's into a first or second gen honda (before things were controlled by computor), i know the mounts will line up with little modification but i am more wondering about computors and what not

for electronic dist use a

86-87 block with 88-89 head/distributor/partial harness and 88-89 ecu

this bolts right into a efi 1st gen crx or 3rd gen civic

or build a hydra with a

84-87 ew/d15a3 block and 88-89 integra 16v head and electonic distributor.....(same as above) 86-87 teg's had slightly lower comp than 88-89 pistons did.
