Transmission Shifting Problems!

Ok, I have just bought a 1991 eclipse gs. 2.0 dohc,automatic transmission. The problem is that when its in drive, its only in high gear. It starts out in high gear and stays there. Never shifts down. The previous owner had replaced the transmission 3 times with exactly the same results. In the deal I got a 1991 plymouth laser and a 1991 eagle talon. They are also automatics, but are 1.8 engines. I plan to use them for parts. Does anyone have an idea of what could be the shifting problem? :banghead:

Well, if he has replaced the trannie 3 times then its not a trannie problem. Probably the control unit for the trannie.
