95 V6 Tranny reverses when in PARK!!

The problem i'm having is the transmission is engaged in reverse when the shift knob is in the park position. When in the reverse position the car is neutral. When in neutral the car is still neutral and drive operates normally... Anyone know if this is a huge problem..

Yes, it's a problem. Had the same thing happen to my Z. You have one of two problems. One is an easy fix, the other isn't to bad, but ya have to do a little work and prolly order a part from a dealer. :)
The problem is that your linkage cable is messed up. It can be one of two things.
1. The tension is just not set correctly. This could be caused by it just shaking the locker clip loose, or the spring wearing out. Get under the car, and on the drivers side of the tranny, you'll see where the linkage cable is connected to a little lever. The brackets holding the end of the cable will be mounted to two of the same bolts that hold the tranny pan on the car. There is a spring loaded tensioner on there that you can adjust to fix the tension of the cable. See if that is loose, or just needs adjustment. That is the easy fix...
2. If the cable is broken, or partially broken, then you'll need to replace the entire linkage cable thing. You can test this, by popping the linkage cable connector off of the lever on the tranny. It is a little ball hitch thing that you should be able to pop off with a flat head screwdriver. Once you pop it off, pull on and push the cable. Mine came right out of the end since it was completely busted off. There is a sheathing around the whole cable which will make it nearly impossible to see the condition of the cable inside of it, but you should be able to tell if something is not right with it. This isn't to hard to replace, but you have to take out the whole center console thing to disconnect it from the inside of the car and pop it down through the floor.
What is happening is that when you push the shifter forward, it is trying to push a cable that is inside a sheathing. If that cable is frayed or has some other defect, it won't be able to push the bottom end (the one hooked to the tranny) far enough forward to flop the lever into the correct position. This can also be cause by not having the tension set correctly under the car.
To get the car into park, so you can work on it, just climb under the car, and grab the tranny lever with your hand and move it to the position that is farthest forward.

i think he's right. i had a similar problem in which the cable sheathing pulled out of the plastic end that has tabs on it the snaps into the shifter. if you do have to change the cable, just be careful installing the new one. there's a rubber ring around the cable that keeps the sheathing away from sharp edges, and if the cable binds from a steep agle, the sheathing will pull out of that plastic end the first time you shift it. i screwed up a brand new cable doing that, but i was lucky enough that the parts store guy gave me another one for free.
