Has anyone heard about the power mod that has been selling on ebay. It claims 10-20 horsepower, So I ordered one (only costs me $1)what came in the mail kind of suprised me it looked like soliniod(think that is what it is called)and the instructions said plug each end into the two holes of the temp. sensor housing(the one that is plugged into the the air filter housing. It is said that doing this plus unplugging your battery for 30 minutes, sends a signal back to the computer that the air coming through the intake is a few degrees cooler thus making it run better. Has anyone had any experience with this or know anything about this?

On the "seat of the pants" meter, who knows. Sometimes installing a part like this will make you think it's faster because you want it to be. Just like when your car runs better in colder weather, I would estimate horsepower gain to be more like 2-3. A couple of owners on the old GM Forums site tried these and all that they reported back was their SES light coming on after this device confused the O2 sensors. They then took them off. Good luck.

I have one. I can't really say whether it does anything or not because I installed it with a couple other mods, but it hasn't thrown any lights. The theory behind them seems to be sound although the expected gains would be modest at best.
