Me and my father have spent an hour already trying to get the last spark plug cable out. Its the one behind the engine right next to the alternator and we are trying to avoid removing the alternator and anything else around it any help will be greatly appriciated

if it's a 3.3 or 3.8 engine then you can remove the belt, the top plate mounting the alternator to the intake plenum, loosen the bottom bolt on the alternator and push it towards the firewall. This will give you all kinds of room. Hint - do not let the belt come disengaged from ps pump or crankshaft it will be a bugger to get back on. :)

Its a 3.0 v6 even if we would have taken off the alternator there is still a steel bar that crosses in front of it. I barely got 3 fingers in the spot to put the spark plug tool and my angle ratchet piece then on top of alol things the spark plug tool gets wedged in the hole took another hour just to get it out. Thanks for the info we finished late last night.

Almost makes you think it's quicker to drop the engine on the floor!! LOL :)
