I have them on my 2001 2500HD, My 2002 Avalanche and my 2004 2500HD. It's an straightforward install. I also have new hideaways on hand if you need a set. Brian

Are you referring to the cheap Advance auto strobes, or the real kind? I have 6 in my 99 Z71. a 6 outlet whelen power supply, 1 in each turn/park signal up front, 1 in each tail-light, and 1 in each reverse light. I also have some Whelen grille star strobes mounted in my grille.
All needed to mount was drilling a 1" hole in the donor light and wiring it all up. Took a few hours. Mounting the switches was the hardest.

No, these are professional strobes used by police and fire. Mfg by Sound Off and in my opinion superior to Whelen. These are 6 head 90 watt units.

the sound off lights should be the same as the whelen lights. you still need a 1" hole. i have one in each high beam, one in each drl and one in each tail light. i like more light up front as i really could care less if people see me from behind. also, on a side note a whelen tir 3 light will fit neatly in the wholes of your grill, just dont plug too many as your truck might overheat.
