Hope you guys aren't tired of enzos yet. Here Is one from Sweden !
Started on a Revell Enzo kit. It was half the price of the Tamiya so I thought I'd give it a try. I mean, how bad can it be right ?
Well the fit is nowhere a tamiya, and the parts need some trimming to fit right, but the detail level is very good so for that price it's a bargain.
Here are the first pics. The seats unfortunatley had moulded-in seatbelts, so I cut those away. Will make separate belts later.
The logo on the cylinder heads was made by applying bare metal foil and paint with black, and then carefully rub off the black on the raised letters.
This is also my first kit with an airbrush and my first blackwash ever on an engine aswell.. *nervous*

Ser bra ut. Jag lyckades aldrig få någon av de två Enzo som jag köpte klar, hoppas du lyckas bättre.
Kul med en till från Sverige här, vart bor du?

Looks great!! Det var fler svenskar här än jag trodde, alltid roligt :bigthumb:
Håller själv på med en Enzo, en Tamiya, som inte är så rolig att måla, ganska jobbig faktiskt.

Nice! En "Swede" till! Kul att vi alla hittar hit. Try to drybrush your engine with silver over the edges, and it will look perfect!

Have carried on with the engine.
The headers are treated with a little tamiya clear orange to get that heated look. Thinking of adding a little clear blue aswell.

Have been working on the rear subframe today.
phew..The fit is not perfect so you need to do quite some test-fitting to get it together.
An example: Part A fits to part B. Part B fits to part C, and Part C fits to part A, but surpirse ! They dont fit together all three of them. Very fun when you have painted them all up nicely...
Otherwise it coming along fine i think. Added some heat wrapping (BMF) to the exhaust after looking at a lot of photos of 1:1 enzos.

I paid around 230 SEK = 32$ for it in the local hobbyshop here in stockholm. But I've seen it cheaper on the internet, but then its shipping to be added.. Probably it's cheaper outside of sweden. The Tamiya Enzo for reference was over 55$ over here...

Today I have done some test fitting of the body, finished the exhaust, the rear suspension and wheels.
The wheels and brakes are quite strangely made in this kit. The brake disc is "sandwiched" between the two halves of the rim. Haven't seen that before but I guess it works..
The rotors are painted with a mix of flat aluminum and flat black to look like the carbon/ceramic stuff they are made of.

:iagree: with Chris. but you are doing a great job. plus more kudos for making the more inferior kit (revell) look flawless so far. keep it up.
