For those who have built Enzos

On the Tamiya Enzo your suppose to paint the inside of the body parts black and the outside red.

How did you paint the body parts? Black first, then red? Did you use masking seals? Brush or airbrush etc.

I've sprayed the parts with primer on the outside but not on the inside. I just thought that it wouldn't be that good to get black paint on the primer and then paint red on top. :confused: Am I right?

Paint the lighter colours first as a general rule. Prime, paint the outside red then mask the entire outside before shooting black on the inside.

I sprayed the inside black first, masked it, prime and paint the outside red!! This is the way i done it! In this way you are 100% sure that nothing can happen to the "important" outside!!

how did you paint your interior and chairs? I sprayed my chairs with X-18, masked them and sprayed XF-7 red. The problem is that they didn't end up red but kinda wine red. I hadn't sprayed the dashboard with X-18 and it still looks wine red :screwy:

I don't know what the problem is and I don't know what to do about it either...

Any suggestions?

gloss red would always look dark unless you undercoat it with white!!!!!

I wouldve painted it white first, then the red, then the black.

I agree with Thesaint. If you ever mess up the interior, you can touch it up easily, without being too noticeable. You could always spray a nice coat of white primer all round, before adding your black and red, to get a solid base.
