just got a 88 civic hb. need to install a tach in it but i cant find the wire to plug the tach into. any help would be greatly apreciated.

plugs into your distrubiter onto the min plug if i am correct...but remember tachs dont add horsepower...hehe

i just did this 4 days ago. take you gluster out on the plug on the left theres a blue/silver wire tap that for the dizzy connection. then take apart the center console and the plug going from the ash try light and lighter has 4 wires use the black one for the ground the red one for the ignition 12+ and the white for the dash light. the red and white might be the other way around not to sure but it is def those 2. good luck

You could connect the tach signal wire to the ign. coil(-) but why run wires through the fire wall if you don't have to. Running the signal wire to the OEM signal behind the guage cluster, looks a whole "cleaner"
