My 1999 Aurora vibrates under acceration from 60 to 75 mph. Has any one ever tryied to fix this problem. It seems to be getting worst and I only have 50k on the car.

I have a similar problem although mine is constant and got the tires balanced, which didn't solve the problem. I took it to a mechanic and he said the tires had seperated. I'm going to replace the tires and see if that works, but just another option.

No, regular balancing won't do it.

If its a tire seperateing you want to get them changed before the come apart. Had one come apart on our ford tarurs at 60 damn near tore the front quarter panel off before I could get it stopped.
Good thing I was driving and not the wife or daughter they never would have controlled it.Tire wasnt 3 months old. Gaurdsman radial never again

The tire thread from a couple of weeks ago gave me the creeps! Some guys buying USED TIRES! Or the CHEAPEST they can find in the size! I wonder if these same people would be thinking of all the money they saved while waiting for the EMT's to arrive at the scene of the rollover while they are slowly bleeding to death.

I hear you Indy! Do these people think of the danger of a tire seperateing at 70+ mph on the freeway with a crowd of people around them, and just how many can we take with us!!! But I saved $50 ya right.

FYI, I'm running on Cooper Tires, T rated, that have less than 30k on them and they have a 70k warranty. I'm not saying that the are the best, but I'd expect that they'd last more than 30k miles especially when I have not hit 100 mph in the car.

My thoughts exactly Indy! Tires are not an area Id skimp on when you think about all the abuse they go through. If its all you can afford I guess used tires are better then bald tires but you have no idea why the person selling them REALLY wants to get rid of them.

Scruff no offense didnt mean you were useing bad or inferrior tires. A few threads back someone was saying they were buying used tires for like $50 for a set of 4 and thought they were getting a great deal. Not saying thats a bad thing if thats all you can afford just shouldnt drive over 35 mph if you are.
