3.4 v6 ---> 5.7 v8 ???

hey whats up all... i have a 95 firebird with a 3.4L v6... its nice, and it gets me around, but it doesnt do anything for me when i go racing with my friends... i kno a guy who is selling a 5.7L v8 out of his bird for $1500 (its almost a brand new engine, he put it in about a month ago, then just last week someone hit his car when it was parked and destroyed the back end but thankfully left the front end intact)... first off, is this a good price? and second... will this fit in my car? and if so, would i need to replace anything? (tranny, exhaust, etc...) and if it wont fit can anyone give me any tips on another way to boost my HP/tourque?

What year bird did it come from?

his was also a 95 but it was a formula... will that make a difference?
