crank snout hub leaking oil?

My son-in law has an 82 cadillac fleetwood with a 4100 engine. The crank snout hub is leaking oil. Is there an O-ring or some type of seal, other than the timing cover seal that would allow this? :confused:
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Front crank seal is the only seal there. If a new seal don,t fix it you may be able to find a sleeve to fit over the crank shaft end. Aftermarket part stores sell these. What they do is minimize the clearance between crank and seal.
