modacar.com says my neuspeed race springs will lower the car 2 to 2.25 inches.

I dont think you have the height clearance needed for it not to rub

i lowered mines like 1.8 " and it started to rub...so since you have about a 2" drop....I'm sure it will start rubbing unless you remove the plastic in the wheel well

i was wondering the same thing.........i have sprint springs with 2.5 inch drop and was wondering in oreder for it to rub.....that means that those 17's tuck that far up into the wheel well? if so.....that would look sick :D

anyway.......i plan on getting full coilovers so i think that i will go with the 17's anyway. but i don't know yet. i hear that 17's are a bit heavier and would be better off getting 16's. decisions, decisions, decisions

I have Eibach Sportline with stock rims and tires and when I have to make make a sharp turn or trying to avoid speed bumps sometimes it rubs... Since you're getting 205/40/17 you will probably rub.
