We have at our dealership an 02 Aurora 4.0 with 50k miles. My dad is looking at buying it. How reliable are the cars, mainly the engine. We've built many race engines for our 69 Camaro, but a big block is much different than whats in the Aurora. Also, any other things to look for??? electrical, trans, trim, etc. ..

Thanks
John Nance

J saw a link on MSN yesterday reading something like "what goes wrong on your model car?"

Of course MSN and everyone associated with them are consummate car-guys, right? Sure we could learn something from them...

I took the links, and if I remember what was listed for the 2001 Aurora, it was
engine - major problems
drivetrain - no problems
steering and suspension - some problems
electrical - no problems
air conditioning - some problems

I can't find the link now. Sniff around on MSN.com for some amusement. I would read the posts on this forum to see the typical problems, ad ask the dealer service department what kinds of failures are common on these cars.

The 2002 may be still under warranty.
