Im thinking of getting an Optima battery. im guessing all that has to be done is
1 remove old batt.
2 wait a minute or so to reset ECU (i recently put in a high flow filter w/o resetting)
3 put in new one
4 reconnect terminals
anything else, especially something i could clean the terminals with or put something on them to prevent corrosion?

get a battery relocater kit and put the battery in the truck/hatch.
with the optima, you don't have to worry about gasses, and when it's inside, there is little to no corrosion.

The ECU will loose all information as fast as the battery is disconnected. This should always be avoided if possible.

why is that?
wouldn't the ECU get all that info back when you start the car up again?
