Fuel Filter 98 Ram

Anybody know if I have a Fuel Filter on my 98 Dodge RAM 1500? I know there in one in the tank with the fuel pump. I don't see any inline filters under the hood, so maybe there is one inline underneath somewhere?

the fuel filter is a part of the fuel pump and can not be changed which is also in the gas tank

not one of dodges better ideas it rates right up there with putting the fuel pump relay inside the computer.

It is in the tank, and it CAN be changed. It snaps onto the bottom of the fuel pump module and can be bought separately.
Dumb idea?? Yeah I'd have to agree with that!!

No filters exist except for what's in the fuel pump/ sender assembly. :banghead:

Anaudiophile, can you describe the steps to take to change it out and where to get the filter, please? My truck has a hesatation and I think it's the filter also. Any info on this is greatly appreciated. :evillol:

before replaceing the filter check your fuel pressure. If your pressure is in spec it's not your filter. This will save getting into the tank.
