noisy lifters

Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to quiet the lifters on a 95 sunfire 4cyl 2.2l engine.

put oil in it?

I think it is called engine or lifter or valve detergent, it is in a yellow bottle bought at Canadian Tire. Buy it at local parts store for $5 or $10. You add it to your engine oil. I have the same problem. I needed to add one bottle, and then a few months later another bottle, but it does work.

Did u have a head gasket put in it recently, if so take it back they fucked up. If not its the patented sunfire tick. take the valve cover off check for damage, if not there take the head off and check the lifters.
