Hi ..the ls/vtec is about 200 hp and the b16b is also around 200 hp and which is the good one>? isn't that the b16b(type r) is more expensive?

I have yet to see an intelligent post by you.
I'll help you out nonetheless... You can't go buy an LS/vtec off any online sites, it's not a stock Honda engine. It's an LS block with a b16 or b18 vtec head, and you have to custom build one. Yes they can reach about 180-200hp, but are a bitch to do. My b16b cost $4,450 with shipping. I'd say an LS block and let's say a b18c5 head will cost about $2,500 or so. That' s just for the engine.. then you have to get it tuned, get the two parts working together, and pull all your hair out because you spent all that time/money and you can't even rev to 7k rpms without things breaking. So you go buy new rods and higher compression pistons, and your r/s ratio still sucks but you can rev a bit higher. If tuned well, I'd say the total cost for 200 reliable hp would be a little bit less than the b16b, unless you know a mechanic who will hook you up. Me, I kinda like having an engine already factory-tuned and am willing to spend the extra buck for reliability. B16B's come with 185hp btw, but with a few bolt-ons 200hp isn't a hard goal to reach.

Not quite built. the b16b is, but the ls needs too much TLC to be very user friendly. In theory, the ls/ vtec is hot, but most of us are looking for a drop in type of swap. Already "built" engines are factory engines. Built meaning they run fine without the headache of having them tuned and making them(Heads and blocks) work together.

If you know for a fact(which can be hard) it'll be done right, since you already said you're not gonna do it, then get the LS/VTEC. The extra displacement may come in handy.

the non vtec honda blocks have extra low end torque then their vtec counterparts to make up for not havin a vtec but when u get a vtec head on the ls ull have the high end too, the ls block has more low end then the b16, but there is a nother prob too... by usin a gsr head on the block the rods tend to spin, wat i did on my integra is put a jdm b16 vtec and shot peened the ls rods and they wont spin that way, i put some jdm b16 pistons in my ls and got some type-r cams, and i do my own head work, im runni mid to low 13s but my compression is real high at about 11.5... this NA isnt as safe as ppl say

yeah but for the ls/vtec swap could be expensive because the bottom of the block isnt strong enough and could blow right or something like that...?
