hey guys, im a newbie on this forum (after a long time as a guest reading) and after 5 years of high school ive finally decided to get back into modelling.
so just before christmas i went and bought a tamiya S13 model to replace the one that the paint melted when i was 13 and never finished
(no primer)...
so far i've pretty much done SFA, but i have mucked around with the spare interior...stripping our the back seats etc.
ill post pics when i can get the camera off my dad

ps. any opinions on the rims im using (sparco N1 blue rims by fujimi)

The oval canned muffler is a fudged round stock one with custom tip and piping. and the round can (ment to look like an RS*R) is made from a pair of wire crimp connectors (CBF'd buygin plastic tubing at the time) the seat is heisted from a nascar model and modified a bit, and the 'race dash' is still yet to have a few switches, an AFC, and a monster tach added. hope this works.

so it did actually work....sorry its been a while. i managed to spend a night the the local cop shop:angryfire: . i really curse the wanker who started on me...anyway when i got out (hehe that sounds funny), i cut out the grill opening, and where the numberplate goes (these will have mesh put in them) and i also built up the spare chassis i had from the spare kit so i could check for fitting problems. all in all i havent really dont much on the silvia. ive mainly be toying round with my 'test car' that i will use for testing paints (its some old AMT nascar truck thing). but i should hopefully have the silvia in primery as soon as the rain clears. one i do that ill start posting more pics.

now that i remember....any opinions on paint (take in to account im using grey primer). and i also have a second set of mags to ensure a proper 'street drift' look. that is. no body kit, mismatched wheels, and low

well people, this thread if offically over! i went to primer the body bout 5 mins ago. i noticed that the side was bent out slighty. So i did what ive read to do. that is use a hair dryer on low speed and heat, holding it at least 20cm(8inches) away. i was beind the side back into place, which it went. then i looked at the A pillar and the edge of the roof and the F**KING S**T A$$ED hAIR DRYER MELTED THE BLOODY THINGS! needless to say i am not impressed. so the silvia is over until i get a new kit (a month of so most likely). does something or someone not want to me to build a silvia kit (this is the 2nd one ive rooted up). i was really pissed off, now im in pain. went and worked off the anger on the punching bag and ive busted up my right hand again. i dont even know if i want to continue modeling anymore :disappoin :banghead: . have a good one people, WIDELOAD

another update. after much consulting with my girlfriend (she told me not to get worked up about it, its only a model). she suggested that i turn the melted body into a bit of drift damage, becuase it looks like the car has rolled. so i might do that while im waiting for some free time to get a new kit. wish me luck.

You consult models with your girlfriend? I'd spend that time consulting something else

no i dont consult my girlfriend about models. she came over and saw me goin off my head. so she gave me advise....for once she didnt bitch and whine that i was paying more attention to my 'toys' (dammit i hate it when they say that) and to her.
