Just out of curousity how many times have you replaced your outside door handles and your headlight/foglight switch. I am now on my 3rd drivers side and 2nd passenger side handle, and I'm about to replace the light switch for the 3rd time.

I replaced my drivers handle once, and my multi function directional switch 3 times.

the metal door handles from 50-resto are cheaper than the plastic models and mine haven't broken after I installed them 1 year ago.
as for the headlight switch, would doing a better job of wiring it help?

The connector that the switch plugs into is melted to hell and back on mine so I'm sure it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the wiring.

You can get a replacement harness, just have to splice it in. Standard Ingition makes them and also JTT wiring.

door handles once. the car had cheap plastic ones that broke, and the ford dealership wanted 140 bucks for a new set. Then i went to the pick and pull - aka paradise - and got the old school metal ones for two bucks a pop. don't forget to get all the springs and ist.

i was gonna get nice metal ones for my notch. only problem is, i can only find them in chrome and black. and i was thinking about brushed billet aluminum, cuz that's gonna be all the interior trim. it might be fun to make the handles stand out and whatnot. then again, it might look shitty with my paint job. in either case, anybody know where i can get brushed aluminum door handles? thanks.
and by the way, i'm getting 99.9% of my interior parts from 50resto.com =)
