paint remover

i notice you guys talk of csc and oven cleaners to remove paint....

i don't know if this fits into the "over cleaners" category, but a lhs has told me that traditionally, caustic soda, is used by modelers to remove paints from plastic...

has anybody ever tried this? and does it remove all types of paint?

Only water based paints...............
