2001 was the last year for the Prelude in America.
all other countries stopped selling after the 2000 model year, tho.
they stopped it due to sluggish sales

I hear they may sell left over 2k1's as a 2k2 model line and leave it at that.

there's one black vtec00 sitting in the show room at the honda dealership down the road from me... it's so beautiful... when my parents said they wanted to get me a civic for graduation, i begged for a prelude... but nope, too expensive. this baby's about 26,500 loaded... sniff sniff...

It is rumored that the lude will come back in the future as a rear wheel drive vehicle, but then again I heard the same about the rsx.

The Prelude was dropped from Honda NZ's model line-up early this year:(:(, the new Integra sorta replaced it :)

wags,
do you know where one can find pictures of this 2003 Prelude to be sold in Japan to which you alluded. Thanks.

Ok, I dont mean to flame but what makes the prelude so good? I mean I dont see many people talking about other cars that are dying this year.

If that doesn't work, try this.

the Prelude was the Best Honda badged vehicle for sale in the US
it handled very well and a quick responsive engine made it pretty quick in the 1\4 14.9-15.2 i think
it was a high end sports car.......
more amenities, faster than a civic or Integra but quite as high end as the NSX
not as quick as ITR but more sophisticated
it wasn't a driver's car but u could still enjoy it
1997 was the debute of the 5th gen BB6 Prelude and it was the only other Honda car sold in the US to offer a Sport Shift mode
the other one that offered SS was the nimble NSX
just as they said
" Everyone drives a Honda... just not a Prelude "
