Ok, i finally finsih the auto to five speed swap. My stepdad has a 89' 5.0 and his gear is MUCH higher than mine.... why? I'm guessing maybe because the auto had a lower gear than the five-speeds? I put a stock T-5 in the car, not anything aftermarket. Anyway, anybody know what the stock gear is on a 90' automatic and a 89' five-speed? thanks.

AOD's, 2.73's or 3.27's
T5's, 2.73's, 3.08's or 3.27's
You will really have to look at the door tag on the drivers side door jam to find the AX code, then I can cross reference it for you.

almost all had 2.73's stock.
aftermarket gears are better for AOD, because AOD has more power loss than manual, so you feel it more.
