Bummed out in December - My Tale of Woe!!

December sucks! Well, at least for me, anyway. Let me explain:

This is a really long, drawn-out tale that started when I was in college in Florida. I was working as a data entry clerk for Ford, going full-time to college and juggling a couple of girlfriends (yeah, I was a ho - your point??).

So, one of my gf's got pissed off at me and got me fired at my job, which wasn't a good thing. So, while I was out of work, a guy I played basketball with convinced me to buy his old truck. So, I used my income tax money to buy it and fixed it up pretty nice.

Anyway, one fine December, I got pulled over by a state trooper for no apparent reason. Come to find out, the truck I bought was stolen. And from the place I used to work at, no less.

So, I got thrown in jail and charged with possession of stolen property (for which later I was cleared of). While I was in jail, the three people I care for most in the world died within 1 week of each other.

My girlfriend was the first one. She developed some liver disease which suddenly took her from me. A couple of days later, my brother, a police officer in Pittsburg, was shot and killed by a burgular in his own home. Then a few days later, my grandfather, who had been sick for some time, passed away in a hospital in Chicago.

Needless to say, I was devastated!

I probably could've handled 1, but all three was almost too much for me to take!

So, for me, December doesn't really hold any real significance for me anymore...:(

Sorry for the ranting, but I just needed to tell someone that!

Sorry to hear all of that. Man, if it's any consolation, you have friends here that got your back, in the figurative sense. Keep ya head up and keep it movin'. It's times like these, you reflect on all the good times and know that they are in a better place. I really don't have much to say on topics as such, I've been to my share of funerals to know how tough it is to lose someone close, let a lone a family member.

wow, i'm sorry...that sucks beyond belief

You sir, are a Shakesperian tragedy. I do hope that is the last month you'll need to go through like that for the rest of your life.
