I usually change my engine oil in the shop, but this time I wanna do it

myself. Don't you guys think that dealer or shop charging too much $$

and not giving you the oil that you paid for? I'm thinkin to put valvoline

synpower SAE 5W-30. Do you think that's the best buy for my integra?

What oil and filter do you guys use? Do you change the "washer" when

you changing your oil? Do I need a special wrench to remove the oil

filter?

Any input would be appreciate..... :smoker2:

I use Castrol GTX 5W-30. I think the Honda dealers usually use GTX 5W-30 on oil changes there. I buy the Honda oil filters at the dealer. They ask if you want the washer and its only 25 cents or something like that so I suggest you get it while getting the oil filter if you are going buy the Honda filter.

I usually use Mobil 1 synthethic oil. Yes, you usually need a special wrench to open the filter, but sometimes you can twist it off or use a screwdriver. I believe Honda use Honda oil here. Just usually buy an aftermarket oil filter. They only cost a few dollars.
