Leather care

I am having a problem with the leather in my 99 GLE. Most of the leather is great and I clean and condition it regularly. However, the drivers side back seat leather is very stiff and the texture is different. I don't know what happened to it, but something must have messed it up. I have tried a couple of different conditioners on it, but it still is not soft.

Any advice?
