A friend of mine bought a modded max, and he let me drive it around. I noticed a lot of difference in power in the upper rpms. Then I looked under his hood and saw the mevi. He had no idea what it was, so i explained. But, after driving it I decided to get one. I went through many diffferent pages and found about everything extra thats required. I found a Nissan part # for the vacuum canister and looked it up in the catalogue at

I'm pretty sure any vaccuum canister will work. Contact Courtesy Nissan, they sell the mevi and could probably tell you what part you need. I was going to get a MEVI but I heard everyone say that there is substantial midrange power loss.

Thats true, there is mid-range power loss--- b/c the 1st runner without the intake fully opened is smaller than the stock manifold(hopefully I said that right)--But..you can get around the problem with a new ecu. Well...you may also have less mid range with a mevi and ecu than just the ecu and NO mevi...but its still way more than you already had???
Stock max:
160whp @ 4,500rpm
130whp @ 6,500rpm
Max w/Mevi:
145whp @ 4,500rpm
160whp @ 6,500rpm
Max w/Mevi and ECU:
170whp @ 4,500rpm
165whp @ 6,500-7,500rpm
Stock max:
160whp @ 4,500rpm
130whp @ 6,500rpm
Max w/Mevi:
145whp @ 4,500rpm

Would a Ypipe bring back a little of the midrange?
