1999 engine noise when cold

My 1999 Caravan (3.8L V6) has 55000 miles on it and over the last 10000 it has gradually developed a rattling sound when cold that is really annoying. It only occurs when cold and only at idle speed (800-1200 rpm) with the car in reverse or drive gear. It sounds as if some accessory is about to fall off but I haven't been able to isolate it because it is under so much stuff. Has anybody experienced similar noise and figured out what it is? Thanks.

Man I have the same problem! I was hoping to find the answer here guess I'll keep looking, but I'm sure you fixed it by now could you email me and let me know what it is?
