well it seems its finally out...
pg 98 in the May '01 Import Tuner shows the pics...
"the kit consists of a cast-iron header, T3/T28 turbocharger and all needed piping and hardware. The fuel system utilizes factory injectors and a JWT reprogrammed ECU. The modest 6.5 psi of boost requires no blow off valve. An optional air/air intercooler is planned for the future, and JWT's inventory contains plenty of race parts (such as low compression pistons, rods, etc.), that can make the kit a good foundation for a full race set-up."
they show dyno results of 177hp at the wheels of a p11 G20t with 171 lb-ft of torque...
if you're wondering a stock g20t put out 118hp at the wheels w/ 115 lb-ft of torque

Yeah that's old news. However I called JWT last week and it won't be ready for sale until the end of the summer. I'm sick of waiting for this
I really just want the ECU to be done so I can put together my own kit.

Well it is news but for the last year I've been seeing the same clip in different mags. Everytime i call JWT it's not done yet and they have a different excuse each time. It's upsetting when I talked to Jim (of JWT) last week I told him right out, if it's ready I'll order it yesterday. He apologized and said he realized lots of people are waiting for it but it won't be ready for a couple more months (end of summer). :(
Well now I think my turbo plans have changed and I'm just now waiting for JWT to get the 99+ ECU circuit boards finished.

i left the mag in the office but i think the retail was something like $3300 US dollars... not too much bang for the buck, concidering its a 60 hp gain... i'll have to double check the price tomorrow... unless someone can beat me to it =)

WOW...See what you mean.
I agree, it's rather dear for the power gain,(to get it to this country ).
I guess there may be more opitions that came out later as i'm still keen on this idea.

yep and to top it off, the kit doesnt "require" an intercooler.. so if you want one thats an added cost. plus you'd want one anyway if you want more boost out of the thing... and if you do more boost... then theres issues like... injectors... pistons.. rods.. blow off valve, etc...
you're looking at A LOT of money, not to mention all the maintenance of a turbo... yeesh.

Why do this if you can get a SR20DET from LongUSA for 1500 ?

some people are scared of engine swaps. lol.. lots of work... part fabrication... used motor... etc...
i thought about doing some engine work.. but i think my g20 is just about at its peek of work... i have a little less than a year before i part with it for a new car...
lol... i love cars, so i have to change often hehe

I called JWT today, and the sales rep (Ben) said that it wouldn't be ready until next year! He also said that it wouldn't fit on my 2000 until after that because the computer was different, and my engine had roller rockers. $3600 also sounds like a ton of money for the parts you receive. My G20 needs power! Anybody have experience with the cams and ecu?

Next year! Damn I'm getting so sick of waiting. Oh well, maybe I should just pay the whole car off first.
Anyway I've got the JWT S3 cams and I would love the ECU but it's the same problem as the turbo kit, the ECU's the same thing just programmed different. In fact I'd rather have the ECU than the kit done.
Silver G20 as for cams I think JWT will have a grind ready for the roller rocker SR20's soon. You can't use the regular (older) SR20 cams. Sorry.
