96 Blazer Problems

I have a 1996 Blazer 4d 4wd 4.3L. The problems started with the service engine soon light. Then it was hard starting. The hard starting kind of went away. The service engine soon light went out and doesn't come on at all not even at start up. It takes two tries to get it started. The first time it starts and then immediately shuts off. The second time it starts right up and is fine. Performance doesn't seem to be hindered. The last problems is that when I filled it up gas ran out. I waited til the pump went off went to put the nozzle up and gas ran out from the rear.

Any suggestions?

If the SES light does not come on during the bulb check (key in the run position) I would check the fuses that power the PCM....This may be an indication of a loose connection or that the ignition switch is not sending current to the fuses

Well I found out what it was. I took it to the dealer I bought it from and they pulled the gas tank thinking a seal was broken around the fuel pump. Apparently they found the gas tank was weak on the top side and had a couple holes in it which gave me the service engine soon light and problems starting.

A new tank was ordered it will be fixed in a couple of day free.
