Car is alligned but pulls to the left

I recently had my tires replaced. In the process the right tie-rod and CV drive shaft were also replaced. Afterwards the car would pull drift to the left. Initially, I know the tire shop received the wrong CV shaft and were trying to fit it on the car. Could they have bent something in the process which is now causing the car to drift??

The shop put a stock VW tie-rod on the car in the process of trying find the problem and also put a different set of VW rims and tires on the car. They triple checked the allignment and swear that it's dead on. The car did not drift to the left prior to taking it to them.

Any ideas?

Have you tried rotating the tires? I've experienced a similar situation, although not in conjunction with other front end work; the car just developed a pull. The tire guys referred to it as "radial pull". The only solution they have provided is to rotate tires front-to-back, which solved the problem. In one instance, the "pull" returned after a few thousand miles. I again rotated F-to-R, which again fixed the pull. No amount of aligning/balancing has made a difference for me.

I have had this problem on three of my cars now. And they werent all VW's. One was due to a broken belt in the tire but the other two were from bad tires. The first time it happened the tires were barely worn and the company actually gave me a credit on a complete new set. They said there had been a problem with that particular lot. The last time it happened was when the tires had quite a few miles on them. It might be from hitting pot holes or going over the shoulder, I'm not too sure. I know I avoid pot holes, curbs and any other hazards like the plaque now ...but I cant speak for my wife. Ugh.
