hello.
i just bought a '95 civic ex with the d16z6 and thought i would ask you all where i should begin. around here i know these two brothers that own a store and i get fairly descent deals. but i cant help but think that they are just trying to push me to buy their parts and that they dont give a damn about if its what i should do with my money and car. almsot no one around here that i talk to does this to their cars so i have no one i can really ask. so if anyone has some advice im willing to listen. thanks

by the way, i did have the knowledge to decide to put an injen full cold air intake on my car. jsut wondering what should come next... headers and cat-back maybe? the person who owned it before me had 2 and 1/2 inch exhaust with a 40 series flowmaster muffler put on.

Welcome to AF!

Not to bust your balls, but how many cylinder heads on a inline 4 cylinder? 1-uno-single head = header. Now thats out of the way, a good header could be a choice. How does the 40 series sound? Loud, annoying, etc? Flowmasters flow pretty good.

The first thing I would start with is maintenance, make sure it's all up to date. Then start to modify. I would start with the suspension.

Get yourself a factory repair manual www.helminc.com - you should be able to fix everything on your car properly with that. You will learn some too. There are a lot of Honda performance books out there, buy/read some of those before you go investing thousands into your car & find out you don't like & it's not what you thought.

I can't emphasize this enough - make sure you decide very early whether you intend to turbocharge. Your intake and manifold will be wasted money if you decide to turbocharge later. If you decide not to, replace that header ASAP.

im no car expert but here goes...
after all the maintenance...when comes to modifying, go first with the suspension...like jackasssi said. i think suspension should always come first when modifying. :2cents:
