blow off valve flutter

i have a blitz ss bov. everytime it goes of it flutters and sounds like crap. my friend has the same bov and his has a soild woosh to it. is there something wrong with my bov or do i just adjust the spring tension to get that sound? i have 2.5" piping all arond.

When a BOV flutters, it means that it is not opening all of the way. Either your vaccum source isn't strong enough or your spring tension is too high. If you are sure you have a good vac, then loosen the tension.

If your BOV is fluttering while you are boosting, then more tension is needed.

I have the same blow off valve and it also used to flutter all the time. All I did was loosen the screw all the way and put a little bit of oil in it. It works fine when I'm in boost, I get a real strong wwoosh out of it. But when I'm in low boost or not boostin at all I can still hear it flutter. I think it has something to do with the low pressure in the charge pipe.
