Currently i am going to buy a '04 Civic Coupe value package... I have 17k to spend around 14k just being the base car. What would you car gurus advice with the extra cash to be spent on this car. Performance and looks need to be apreciated.

Buy a CRX for 2K and dump 15K into it :naughty:
It's manual, I hope
not a whole lot parts of '04's now, soon . . .
1. Suspension(springs/struts or coilovers, sway bars[mainly rear], tie bars)
2. Wheels & Tires light 15" rims for performance, possibly 14's. Lighter weight & smaller diameter = more acceleration in which you will be in need of.
3. If any money left over - Intake, header, exhaust
Oh wait, the number one purchase for your car should be a factory repair manual www.helminc.com. Also you may wish to invest in some Honda performance books.

 On some real shit though, if you have so much to spend, why are u going to buy a 2004 Civic? Why dont you just use that money you have and put it into an RSX Type S instead. The most you can really do to your civic is put a Type S motor in it anyways.

Buy a cheap, used Civic and tune the hell out of it, or just lay the full 17k down on a new Evo, G35 coupe, or an STi.
I love my little '00 Civic, but if i had that much cash to spend on a car, i wouldn't be wasting it on a new Civic.

I'd spend 16k on a Civic EX before I spent 14k on a VP. The VTEC helps and you get a lot of other stuff (including a tach...)
Or, get a used car as everyone else is saying and pump it up.

Dont spend the money on 15s or 14s wheels. It is better for acceleration but SHIT a 2004 civic with 14 inch wheels, id probably puke if i see that, ugliest thing ever. Go 17s or 18s so it looks pimp.
