Also, for my Toyota Celica GT-Four I am planning to change the wheels. Which company would you recommend?

As far as rims, Fujimi for selection, Aoshima for size
(Beware of the older Aoshima)
But for the Celica, i'd recommend
http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?FUJ19222
or

But hey, that's just me ;)

I have personally never used a different set of wheels. I am wondering, if it is made by Aoshima or Fujimi, would it fit other models too? Or would you have to do something so you can fit them properly? I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY MODELS TO ARRIVE I'M SO EXCITED!

It usually depends on the kit, most Fujimi and Aoshima wheels are female, and most Tamiya kits are male (newer Tamiya kits are likely female, such as the 350Z) In the Faq/Tips section here on AF, there is a good tutorial on how to convert male to female/female to male

What is the difference between male and female? :eek7:

Oh, nevermind, I searched for it in the FAQS, I have a general idea about what it is. But do any of you know if the wheels that come with the Toyota Celica are female or male?

Awww! That sucks.. are there any nice male rims out there? I don't have enough skill to convert from female to male yet.. :( Or do I? I might, but I don't have the tools.. :iceslolan

i'd say just build it stock. im gonna build the first 5 or so cars stock, and then theres always time to make mods to it... but i know what you mean, the celica rims are shocking. i mean THREE SPOKES! I would have much prefered the stock rims from the SSII car

You can always take wheels from another Tamiya kit and put it on the Celica. Almost all of them are male wheels, so they should fit with no modifications.

Would I be able to just order the wheels alone or would I have to buy a new kit? Cause if I do, one would have REALLY SICK wheels and the other one would have the celicas 3 SPOKES! :uhoh:

I have some extra Tamiya wheel sets I can give you, but i'd have to find matching tires

They are Nismo wheels from the GT-R VSpec II, however i'm sure they wouldn't look bad on the Celica, shoot me a PM, i'm on the way to the hobby shop, but i'll get back with you soon.

Check my post in the Classified. I have several extra Tamiya wheel sets (Supra, GTO, 500SL). If you want any of those, let me know.
