hi i'm new to this forum so HI!,lol.anyway i've posted up in like a trillion forums but yet to get a straight answer.so here i go.i have a 92 honda civic si computer code(P28)i have a B18B1 non-vtec engine that i'm not sure what year integra it came out of.the guy i bought it from said it was out of a 99(the block reads B18B1 and under that 7310199).but if it was out of a 99 that would make it an obd2 computer(PR4)but its runnig and pretty good of my ecu(P28),how and why?the thing is should i get the right ecu or even the P75 ecu out the older 94 B18B1 or get an adapter to make it obd1 or do i leave it.or i was thinking of doin the hondata but don't know much about it.i'm lost and could use some help.i want to get all i can out the motor.i'm hoping to turbo it by the summer.right now it feels like its lagging.almost like it has a turbo.so any help would be great :) .

well if it plugged right into the stock harness its probably not a OBD2 wiring harness unless they are compatable but i wouldnt think so

I would get the correct ECU for it because it will throw a code as it is not seeing the vtec and knock sensor.

Do you have a picture of your motor? does it have the older style valve cover or the newer style?

When i did my swap with a 95 b18b1 it had a code with the p28 ecu so i put in the p75 and no problems now.

Good luck
Kyle

hey thanks for the reply.it looks like the old valve cover.what i was thinking is he ran an obd1 head or distibuter or something like that.heres a link so you can see the motor.i know its hard to tell by pic.so you think i should just get the integra wiring harness and P75 ecu?thanks for all your help :) .
